ADVA Optical Networking Recognized by British Telecom: Sustainability Case Study

Earlier this year, British Telecom (BT) recognized ADVA Optical Networking for their advancements in sustainability and for winning BT’s 2014 Better Future Supplier Forum (BFSF) Game Changing Challenge.  ADVA Optical Networking is a member colleague in QuEST Forum and a major BT network equipment supplier.  As a result, their collaboration challenge produced a great sustainability case study.  Click the image below to link to the case study at our Knowledge Center.

ADVA Optical Networking Sustainability Case Study

Among some of the benchmarks detailed in the case study are:
  • A 300% return on investment
  • Reduces BT engineer travel time by 13,000 hours per year
  • Reduces BT engineer travel distance by more than 300,000 miles
  • Helps cut 750 metric tons of carbon a year from the supply chain

ADVA Optical Networking is also one of the pilot members of the QuEST Sustainability Initiative and an early adopter of the epi model now being used by the Sustainability Group.  They presented this case study at the 2015 EMEA Conference in Munich, Germany.
